Ottimo Marketplace is a transformative adaptive reuse project located in Yountville, California, reimagining a historic 5,000-square-foot brick-and-timber building into a vibrant culinary destination in the heart of Napa Valley. Created for renowned chef Michael Chiarello, the marketplace combines a café, wine bar, brewery, charcuterie, pizzeria, mozzarella bar, and specialty retail under one roof, drawing inspiration from the energy and authenticity of Italy's celebrated food markets. The design preserves the character of the original 1860s structure while introducing a contemporary hospitality experience that celebrates food, wine, and community.

The architectural concept balances historic preservation with modern functionality, creating a flexible venue capable of serving both everyday visitors and large private events. A grand column-lined central aisle forms the organizational spine of the market and can be transformed into an event space accommodating up to 200 guests. At its center, a custom wood-fired pizza oven and marble-clad mozzarella bar create a dramatic focal point that anchors the interior experience.
